Sports: Big Papi Busted

Big Papi may have had help getting big. The New York Times reported yesterday that the Boston Red Sox’s David Ortiz and former Red Sox player Manny Ramirez are on a list of a hundred players who tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003. Joining The Takeaway to talk about the story is Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, The Takeaway’s sports contributor.

It helped that it was 04. Had it been like 86 with an ensuing 20 year wait, I shudder to think.....

thanks Mickey for the catch on that one - but wasn't that tragic loss made better by the tectonic wins in 04' and 07' ?

John--The Sox lost tragically in 2003, they did not win--please stop saying they did, you're wounding New England every time you do
