Palin Says Goodbye to the Governorship

Monday, July 27, 2009

Sarah Palin stepped down yesterday as Governor of Alaska. What's up next for her? Her reasons for leaving and what she plans to do are still unclear. The Takeaway talks to Dan Bross, news reporter for KUAC in Fairbanks, Alaska, Jackie Siciliano, blogger for the website Team Sarah in Long Beach Island, New Jersey, and Jimmie Bise, blogger and founder of the culture and politics blog, The Sundries Shack in Waldorf, Maryland.

"It's obvious that she's getting out of the way of Alaska, and that, to me, seems to be good for Alaska—that she's just moving out of the way so Alaska can do whatever it needs to do without her fame or her notoriety impeding it one way or the other."
—Jimmie Bise on Palin's resignation from office

Watch the first half of Palin's speech in the video below.

For those who voted for Sarah Palin, I just don't see the common sense in it. We all know how she really is. She's not a very well educated women. Listen to the things she said in life. I see people who voted for McCain-Palin all the time, and I ask, do you really think Sarah Palin is qualified to be president? And they believe it whole-heartedly.

Her speech is the most illogical speech I've ever heard. What does the soldiers in Afghanistan have to do with the press making things up? It's unbelievable and embarrassing. It sort of tells me that black equals white. I'm leaving to benefit people? It's incredible.

What a hypocrite!

Without "Big Government" and "The Media" this babbling lier and fool would not be in the national spot light.

Maybe a moose will take her down and do everyone a favor.

I think Sarah Palin is absolutely through. A politician has to be thick skinned, and she undoubtedly must be part of a quieter, gentler world. She's whining and complaining like a little school girl. There's no place for her in American politics.
