As companies no longer offer health care as a benefit, many more of us are being taxed as we buy individual health insurance - so that discussion may be a moot point. For example, my daughter just took a new job with a hospital that does not provide health care benefits. She now has to pay $500 after taxes for her family's health care insurance.
As more companies eliminate health insurance as a benefit, more and more of us are paying for individual policies with after tax dollars, so taxing health care plans becomes a moot point. We need health care reform now.
The governments plan to raise some taxpayers federal income to forty-five percent to pay for the incompetent is so flawed it will cause further destruction to our manufacturing sector.
With such a heavy tax rate why would anyone want to make the capital investment necessary to operate a successful business. Obamas claim that it will not increase the national debt is complete poppycock.
Government run health care will be a complete failure just as government education has proven to be.
