Landis is well known defender of the Syrian regime. He frequently quotes the Embassy of Syria in interviews and meets with the Embassy folks quite often. His blog is replete with rationalizations for the brutality of that regime.
Landis claims that Syria is justifiably angry at the Bush administration? You've got to be kidding. Where did you get this guy - from the Middle East Institute at the University of Damascus? Next, you'll be promoting Syrian teddy bears and big bad Bush wolves.
Get real. Syria is exactly what Bush called them - terrorists and terror supporters - in Lebanon, of Hezbollah, in Iraq, of terrorists who are killing American troops. And everywhere else where they can operate. Why give the Foreign Minister of a dictatorship credibility? Why?
Of course we should be attacking them.
Why now? Why not? Just because you are neurotic doesn't mean that people aren't trying to kill you.
Fools enter where angels doth fear to tread.
