Wanted is wanting. Not in blood, though, as this adaptation from comic books seeps the red stuff throughout the film. Shades of "The Matrix" but Wanted even has bullets that curve and cars that run upsidedown. Angelina Jolie does her Lara Croft thing and tosses guys around the room like stuffed toys. Morgan Freeman recites his lines, but it's James McAvoy (from Atonement) who catches your eye as he goes from wimp to wicked and learns how to control his adrenaline rush. This fraternity of assasins gets their information from a loom (that's loom and not loon.) For lack of a coherent story, concentrate on Danny Elfman's pounding soundtrack.
