Today’s 4 minutes of listening fun landed me in the midst of the “primer” on the Taliban’s recent actions in Afghanistan. Like most TA reports this one was notably light on information, except in this case, it wasn’t the host’s fault as much as it was that their guest never actually said anything. Adaora asked a simple question “Is the Taliban making a comeback … ?” The response was a long winded detailing of every possible answer to the question. Some people say yes, other people say no, some people feel this, blah, blah, blah. Amazingly, the speaker never even used the word comeback is his response. Next time, please just say "maybe, depends on who you ask." Also, resist the urge to claim and coin your own terms on national radio (i.e. neo-Taliban), especially when the term returns over eighteen thousand hits on Google.
