China's "Gen-Xers" are the first to grow up in a hybrid society of communism and capitalism. The Takeaway talks with filmmaker Sue Williams, whose new FRONTLINE documentary, "Young and Restless in China," looks at this generation coming of age in China, a generation that will be leading the country in the years to come.

Byron Garrett is the first male CEO of the National Parent-Teacher's Association in 100 Years. The 35-year-old black is a former principal — not a parent, though he raised his nephews — and was appointed by the national board with a unanimous vote. Garrett calls The Takeaway from San Diego, where later this week the PTA will be holding its 112th annual national convention.

Tony Schwartz is a former WNYC host and creator of 1964's "Daisy" ad, the first television spot to change the national political conversation. Schwartz died on Sunday at the age of 84. The Takeaway looks at his successors and how they've affected election campaigns.
