While there is no hard evidence linking Pakistan to the Mumbai attacks, Lashkar-e-Taiba, the group suspected of the attacks, has long been linked to the Pakistani government's spy service, the Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence, or ISI. The big question, New York Times investigative reporter Eric Schmitt, says, is what will Pakistan do and will it have a lasting effect?
